The school has three guidance teachers which are available during the day for the benefit of students. Students are requested to make an appointment with their guidance teacher if they require any help.
The guidance unit has the two-fold role of student counseling at school as well as the organisation of seminars and visits in connection with our students' future careers.
Counseling includes Pastoral Care whereby students' personal problems are identified and as far as it is possible, resolved. This often entails hours of patient listening and advising. In an ideal situation all the students would be interviewed at some time or another but given the considerable school population of Liceo Vassalli this is not always possible. Successful counseling depends a lot on the co-operation of parents and useful feedback from subject teachers. Our ultimate aim is to establish fruitful contact with all our students to ensure a successful future.
